Undermanned Ginebra quashes Rain or Shine

Baguio finished with 17 points while two other players also scored in double figures for the Gin Kings, who improved their win-loss record to 4-1 and remained in solo second place. JC Intal and Celino Cruz tallied 11 and 10 points, respectively, for the Gin Kings, who led from start to finish in handing the Elasto Painters their sixth consecutive setback. The Elasto Painters are the only winless team in the tournament and continue to stay in the cellar. “We’re back to a one unhealthy team, but I told my players that we cannot just stop competing," said Ginebra coach Jong Uichico, whose team is missing the services of key players Jayjay Helterbrand, Mark Caguioa, veteran playmaker Johnny Abarrientos and Eric Menk due to an assortment of injuries. – GMANews.TV
