RP girls stopped again, lose to China in Asian Youth V'ball
MANILA, Philippines - The Philippines suffered another lopsided loss when it dropped a 25-15, 25-10, 25-17 decision to China in the quarterfinals of the Asian Youth Girls Volleyball Championship Thursday at the PhilSports Arena. The highly touted Chinese, who haven't lost a game in the tournament, advanced to the semifinals scheduled on Friday. Yang Jie and Wang Huimin led the way for the foreigners with 12 points. Team captain Alyssa Valdez tacked seven points to lead the hosts, who were relegated to the classification round that will determine the fifth to eighth places. Korea followed its Far East Asian neighbors to the semifinals after posting a 25-15, 28-26, 25-23 victory over Indonesia. - GMANews.TV
