Naoya Inoue vs Sam Goodman called off anew

The super bantamweight undisputed showdown between Japanese superstar Naoya Inoue and Sam Goodman has been called off for the second time.

Originally scheduled to square off last month, the bout was moved to January 24 after Goodman absorbed a cut in sparring.

The Australian boxer, however, needed to beg off anew after he suffered a recurring eye injury according to his promoter No Limit Boxing.

"No Limit Boxing regrets to announce that Sam Goodman has been forced out to withdraw from his scheduled bout against Naoya Inoue on January 24 due to a recurrence of his eye injury," No Limit Boxing announced on Instagram.
