Mike Tyson feels tougher at 58 years old
Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has a newfound self-confidence ahead of his highly-anticipated showdown with Jake Paul on November 16 (Philippine time) at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, USA.
Retired from the professional scene since 2005, Tyson is set to put his gloves back on at 58 years old as he takes on Paul in an eight two-minute rounds boxing match this weekend.
"I am tougher than I believe I was. When I agreed to this fight I started training, 'What the f— was I thinking," Tyson said during his media workout.
"I finished the process and now the fight is the party. The hard work is done."
Tyson, 50-6 with 44 knockouts as a boxer, last saw action in 2020 when he took on his fellow legend Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition that ended in a draw. Four years later, he will find himself in the ring once more against an opponent he never thought of fighting.
"Never thought in a million years. I never thought I would be fighting [Jake Paul]," Tyson quipped.
