Carl Jammes Martin set to make international debut in Mexico
Super bantamweight prospect Carl Jammes Martin will finally make his long-awaited international debut when he takes on Anthony Jimenez Salas on September 6 at a yet-to-be-announced venue in Sinaloa, Mexico.
Martin, unbeaten as a boxer with a record of 23-0 with 18 knockouts, last saw action against Thai brawler Chaiwat Buatkrathok last December where he won by way of sixth-round technical knockout.
Having fought in the Philippines his entire career, Martin recently flew to the United States together with his father and trainer Abel and assistant coach and brother Japheth to train at the Knuckleheads Boxing Gym in Las Vegas.
Salas, on the other hand, is 18-9-1 with 5 knockouts as a professional boxer. He is currently on a three-fight losing skid and has lost eight of his last nine bouts, six of which he suffered a stoppage. The upcoming bout is scheduled for ten rounds.
