Nesthy Petecio on Sunday received her bronze medal from the women's boxing 57kg event of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Petecio settled for bronze as she fell short against Poland's Julia Szeremeta in the semifinals. A semis ticket already guaranteed her of an Olympic bronze.

This is Petecio's second Olympic medal following her silver medal in Tokyo three years ago.

The Filipina boxer joined the list of the Philippines' Olympic multi-medalists, alongside Carlos Yulo, Hidilyn Diaz, and Teofilo Yldefonso.

Chinese Taipei's Lin Yu-Ting won the gold, while Szeremeta claimed the silver medal. Turkiye's Esra Yildiz Kahraman also bagged bronze.

The Philippines officially capped its campaign with two gold medals from Yulo of gymnastics and two bronze medals from boxing, with the other one from Aira Villegas.
