Manny Pacquiao shows flashes of vintage form in first workout in Japan

Manny Pacquiao went straight to work after arriving last night in Tokyo for his boxing exhibition against Rukiya Anpo on Sunday at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan.

Pacquiao, 45, showed flashes of his vintage form as he hit the pads with his longtime trainer Buboy Fernandez at Kyokuto Gym earlier today.

Pacquiao, 62-8-2 with 39 knockouts as a boxer, retired from the sport after losing to Yordenis Ugas via unanimous decision in 2021.

He made another trip to the ring a year later for an exhibition against DK Yoo and his upcoming bout will mark his second ring appearance after he announced his retirement.
