Junto Nakatani disposes Vincent Astrolabio in one round

Junto Nakatani made a flawless defense of his WBC world bantamweight title following a first-round knockout over Vincent Astrolabio on Saturday at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan.

Nakatani, 26, wasted no time as soon as the fight started throwing jabs and his patented left hand on top. Astrolabio seemingly gauged his foe but was quickly caught with a straight left hand in the mid-section that sent him to the canvas.

Down and unable to continue, the referee waved the contest at the 2:37 mark of the opening round. Nakatani improved his perfect record to 28-0 with 21 knockouts while Astrolabio dropped to 19-5 with 14 knockouts.
