Carlo Paalam punches ticket to Paris Olympics
Boxer Carlo Paalam is once again heading to the Olympics.
Paalam on Saturday punched his ticket to the Paris Olympics after defeating Sachin Siwach of India via unanimous decision in the men's 57kg event of the 2nd Olympic Boxing Qualification Tournament in Thailand.

Paalam, who bagged a silver medal in the Tokyo Olympics, joins fellow boxers Eumir Marcial, Nesthy Petecio, and Aira Villegas in Paris.
Meanwhile, Hergie Bacyadan moved a win away from a ticket to Paris after defeating Hungary's Veronika Nakota in the women's 75kg Round of 16. Four boxers will be given slots in the said division.
As of writing, the Philippines has more than ten officially qualified athletes to the Paris Games.
