Marlon Tapales and Carl Jammes Martin train side by side in Baguio

Two-division champion Marlon Tapales is in good company as he prepares for the biggest fight of his career in the final leg of his training camp in Baguio City.

Tapales, who holds the WBA and IBF world super bantamweight titles, will face Naoya Inoue in an undisputed 122-pound showdown on December 26 at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

Joining him in camp is super bantamweight prospect Carl Jammes Martin, who holds a perfect record of 22-0 with 17 knockouts.

The 24-year-old Martin is targeted to have a fight in December against a yet-to-be-announced opponent and venue.

Bantamweight contender Vincent Astrolabio was also supposed to join Tapales in camp earlier this month as a sparring partner, but a change of plans scrapped the meeting between the two.
