Lomachenko sees next fight as last chance to be undisputed, Haney vows to make fight look easy

Former three-division champion Vasiliy Lomachenko realizes that his upcoming fight with WBC, WBA, WBO, and IBF world junior welterweight Devin Haney could be his last chance of becoming undisputed champion.
Lomachenko, 17-2 with 11 knockouts as a professional boxer, is scheduled to face Haney in what would be the biggest and most challenging bout of his career this weekend, May 20 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
"Camp was hard but I was motivating. It was motivating because I understand it is my last chance to become undisputed. I pushed myself in every training session," Lomachenko said in the pre-fight press conference.
"He is a high-level boxer. He understands boxing. He knows what he needs to do. He can use his reach. He can use his feet. He can create distance. But I have a lot of experience in this sport. It will be very interesting for me."
The unbeaten Haney (29-0, 15KOs), meanwhile, acknowledged that Lomachenko could also prove to be his toughest bout thus far. The 24-year-old, however, said he plans to make it look easy on fight night.
"On paper, this is my toughest test, but I look to make it an easy night," Haney said.
"I look to make it as easy as possible and come out victorious. I have been calling for this fight for four years. But the time has finally come. I take my hat off to him. I respect everything that he’s done."
