Errol Spence Jr vs Keith Thurman in play for April —report
Unified welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. is headed for another trip into the ring but not for an undisputed matchup with WBO world welterweight champion Terence Crawford.
Spence, 28-0 with 22 knockouts as a prizefighter, could be on a collision course with former world champion Keith Thurman in April, according to a report by ESPN.
It can be remembered that negotiations for Spence Jr. and Crawford to come together fell apart last year.
Spence last saw action in April 2022 when he defeated Yordenis Ugas by technical knockout to add the WBA world title to his collection.
The 32-year-old Spence currently holds three of the four world titles in the welterweight division which is the WBC, WBA, and IBF.
ESPN also reports that a showdown between Spence and Thurman would likely take place in the junior middleweight division.
