Jimuel Pacquiao wins second amateur fight in the US

Jimuel Pacquiao added another victory to his record after winning his second amateur fight in the US on points over Jonathan Barajas on Friday (Manila time) at the Montebello Country Club in Montebello, California.

Jimuel, the eldest son of retired eight-division boxing champion Manny Pacquiao, showcased his improved fundamentals and demonstrated good combinations throughout the fight by going to the head and body.

The 21-year-old has been training at the famed Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles since last year and was accompanied by Freddie Roach’s protégé Marvin Somodio for the fight. Also in attendance was MP Promotions President Sean Gibbons.
