IN PHOTOS | Ancajas, Martinez make weight for championship showdown
By JM SIASAT
Reigning IBF world super flyweight champion Jerwin Ancajas’ next title fight against Fernando Daniel Martinez is official after both fighters made weight for their upcoming bout.
Ancajas is making the tenth defense of the world title he has held since 2016 against the Argentine Olympian this Sunday, February 27 at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, USA.
Ancajas, who holds a record of 33-1-2 with 22 knockouts as a professional, tipped the scale at 114.5 pounds while his challenger Martinez also weighed in at 114.5 pounds.
Should Ancajas emerge victorious this weekend, he will match the late Hall of Famer Gabriel “Flash” Elorde’s record of having ten successful defenses in one world title reign.
