John Riel Casimero says he will fight Naoya Inoue in December
Three-division world champion John RIel Casimero said he will fight undefeated Japanese boxer Naoya Inoue later this year.
In a YouTube video posted on Monday, the WBO world bantamweight said he will fight Inoue in December.
"Next laban natin, magandang laban 'to. Naoya Inoue, December 11," he said.
[Our next fight is a good one. Naoya Inoue, December 11.]
Casimero has been egging Inoue to fight him since November last year, and more recently after his win against Guillermo Rigondeaux.
Inoue previously said he will not take Casimero sitting down and is ready to fight the Filipino champ.
"Is everyone's image of Naoya Inoue a saint prince? Why do I have to keep silent because I was so enthusiastic that I was provoked radically and was pointed out in the live broadcast? There are people who say various things, but this is an individual remark with Casimero. Just buy the quarrel that was sold. Please organize a match," Inoue's translated tweet on August 17 said.

"Once the match with Casimero is decided, I would like to beat [him] under the rule of boxing. Therefore, we firmly ask for weight management 'doping' management so that the match will be established. I hope this year," he said in another tweet on August 18.

Casimero was also supposed to fight fellow Filipino Nonito Donaire, Jr. but it was cancelled. According to Donaire, Casimero's camp turned in the testing documents for doping late. The two camps also had a conflict regarding the actions of Casimero's camp towards Donaire's wife.
