Ugas, other boxers share their thoughts on Pacquiao loss on Twitter

The much anticipated match between Manny Pacquiao and Yordenis Ugas was heavily discussed online on Sunday, with several keywords such as 'Pacquiao' and 'Pacman' still trending on Twitter as of writing.

It wasn't just sports fans sharing their reactions about the fight, but also Pacquiao and Ugas' fellow boxers.

Errol Spence, Jr., who was supposed to be Pacquiao's opponent in this fight before he had to back out due to an eye injury, praised Ugas and called the Cuban boxer's performance 'good sh*t.'

Spence even retweeted a clip from the post-fight interview saying Ugas wants to fight the American boxer next.

Ryan Garcia, meanwhile, took to Twitter his adoration for the eight division-world champion.

"Pacquaio (sic) will forever be my favorite fighter and inspiration," Garcia said.

Nonito Donaire, Jr., Pacquiao's fellow Filipino, posted photos from the fight, which he watched live in the venue.

Even NBA player Damian Lillard shared his thoughts online about the fight.

"Love both fighters… but Ugas won that fight. Congrats," he said.

Ugas, meanwhile, thanked Pacquiao for being with him in the ring.

"Thanks to Manny Pacquiao for giving me the opportunity to share the ring with him, he is still one of the best fighters in history. Much respect," he tweeted.

He also wished for the 42-year old boxer's recovery.

"Go home and recover, champion. Thanks for being an inspiration."

Ugas won over Pacquiao via unanimous decision to retain his WBA welterweight super title.
