Casimero hits Donaire: 'You should be embarrassed for losing to Rigondeaux'
Three-division champion John Riel Casimero aimed his crosshair once more at his fellow Filipino Nonito Donaire Jr. and Japanese superstar Naoya Inoue following his not-so-fan-friendly win via split decision over Guillermo Rigondeaux this weekend.
Casimero and Donaire were supposed to share the ring in a historic all-Filipino unification but the latter decided to pull out of the fight because he felt "disrespected" by Team Casimero's pre-fight antics.
"That would be his (Rigondeaux) last fight. People were not happy and he cannot be sold on TV. I was mad myself because I did not like the fight he gave me after I told him not to run because fans and judges would fall asleep," Casimero said.
"I would have not fought Rigondeaux if Donaire was not scared. I had no choice because Naoya Inoue just came from a fight so I fought him. What will I gain out of beating him? Nothing," he added.
"The only thing I got is the honor of beating the guy who beat fish (Donaire) and bruised his face. Are you not embarrassed? The guy who beat you I would have put to sleep if he did not run. The guy who beat you was weak."
Eager to fight Donaire and Inoue next, Casimero said that he would fight the pair at the same time if that is what it would take to get them inside the ring.
"I am the strongest in the bantamweight division right now. I am now boasting, I am telling the truth. If I am boastful, why would they not fight me? I would fight the two of them together. I will fight Donaire and Inoue at the same time."
