Nesthy Petecio gets emotional after receiving silver medal in Tokyo

Nesthy Petecio let her emotions out after receiving her silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics on Tuesday.

The Filipina boxer was smiling as she congratulated her old rival Sena Irie of Japan after their fight for the gold in the women's featherweight division, but the tears started flowing when stepped on the podium.

Nesthy made history as the first Filipina boxer to win a medal at the Olympics. Her silver is the second medal for the Philippines in Tokyo, adding to Hidilyn Diaz's gold from weightlifting.

She is also the first boxer to win an Olympic medal since Onyok Velasco bagged silver in 1996.
