Quinito Henson predicts stoppage win for John Riel Casimero against Rigondeaux

Veteran sports analyst and broadcaster Quinito Henson sees a decisive victory for WBO world bantamweight champion John Riel Casimero when he defends his title against Guillermo Rigondeaux on August 14 at Dignity Health Sports Park in California, United States.

"Rigondeaux I feel has a style that can make a little hard for Casimero maybe if he was in his prime," Henson said. "He is 40 years old, there is a lot of wear and tear in his body. For someone like Rigondeaux to give Casimero a hard time he will need his legs."

"Over the last two fights of Rigondeaux, he does not move much anymore. Tata (Casimero) has been able to acquaint himself very well in foreign countries where he faced tougher, younger, and stronger opposition in very hostile grounds."

Rigondeaux, a former super bantamweight champion and a two-time Olympic gold medalist, is known for defeating Nonito Donaire Jr. via unanimous decision in 2013 with a record of 20-1 with 13 knockouts.

Henson, however, believes that the Cuban would ultimately fold from Casimero's relentless pressure come fight night.

"If Rigondeaux wins this fight I think he does it by decision but I do not think he wins this fight," he said.

"What Casimero is going to do here is number one, pressure. He is an intelligent fighter and his power is awesome. He has to stay within range and I think Rigondeaux will go down. I do not think his opponent can take his power and aggression."
