Nonito Donaire threatens to call off fight vs John Riel Casimero: 'You disrespected my family'
WBC world bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire is having none of WBO world bantamweight world champion John Riel Casimero's shenanigans ahead of their all-Filipino unification bout on August 14.
In a live video posted on his wife Rachel's Facebook page, Donaire went off on his foe and threatened to call off the fight.
"You ain't getting paid from me. I ain't giving you s***... This is why the fight is not going because you know why? You are making money for me," he said.
"Regardless if I knock your s*** out, you're still winning because you're getting paid from me. So get the f*** out of here," he added.
Both camps have been going back and forth on social media since the fight was announced. One of the disputes was the random drug testing conducted by VADA that the Donaire camp wanted Casimero to take.
Casimero's camp responded by saying that the fighter is already enrolled and in one of their vlogs, the Filipino's strength and conditioning coach Angel "Memo" Heredia was seen talking smack to Rachel while making a rude gesture.
"You make more money when you fight me. If I say no, you don't get s***. I have control," Donaire said.
He also said that he is not scared of Casimero and that he "made the fight happen." However, he said he will protect his wife and family "beyond anything."
"I don't care about becoming undisputed if you disrespect my wife. I will make you pay a hundred percent," he said.
"I am not an angry person but I am now. I don't curse at people but I am now. Why? Because you disrespected my family."
