Logan Paul on Mayweather fight: 'I have nothing to lose'
YouTuber Logan Paul is going to fight Floyd Mayweather with a "nothing to lose" mentality on June 6 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Florida, USA.
Paul, who is 0-1 as a pro boxer, would enjoy a significant age and size difference over the 44-year-old but is deemed as a huge underdog in the upcoming exhibition.
"Why is Floyd Mayweather getting in the ring with me? He has everything to lose," Paul said in a teaser released by Showtime Boxing.
"You got finessed, Floyd. Imagine I beat him for one second. I have to imagine taking this fight would be a regret."
Mayweather, a five-division boxing world champion, retired in 2017 with a perfect record of 50-0 with 47 knockouts after he defeated mixed martial arts superstar Conor McGregor.
"I have absolutely nothing to lose. I don't care, I don't give a f*** about Floyd Mayweather or his 50-0 record it means nothing to me," Paul said.
"Does he think I suck? The answer could be yes, nothing online is exceptionally spectacular of me boxing, but in the past year and a half we've gotten to a really good spot," he added.
Asked about his chances against the legendary prizefighter, Paul did not make any guarantee but expressed confidence in his abilities.
"I'm fully equipped. I have all the tools in my toolbox. I have the weapons; my blades are sharp, I want this s*** so bad. And again, I have nothing to lose," he said.
"I think on June 6th we're going to find out why there are weight classes in boxing."
