Logan Paul was in total disbelief about fighting Floyd Mayweather: 'This makes no sense'

Just like the rest of the world, YouTuber Logan Paul was in utter disbelief when the thought of fighting five-division champion Floyd Mayweather was presented to him by his manager.

Paul, who is 0-1 as a professional boxer, is scheduled to duke it out with Mayweather in an exhibition on February 20 in a yet to be determined venue.

"None of this is comprehensible, this makes no f--ing sense. Six months ago my manager comes up to me, 'Logan would you fight Floyd Mayweather?'" he told Food Truck Diaries.

"I go, I mean, yes I would, but why you asking me that question go do something else. This makes no sense how is that going to be a thing ever," he added.

The idea of sharing the ring with Mayweather sounded too much of a joke to Logan, to the point that he refused to believe the possibility of it even after being asked to sign a contract.

"I think a month later he approached me with a contract saying if you sign here you'll be fighting Floyd Mayweather," he said. "I said, 'Sure Jeff, I'll sign your fantasy contact.' Like f--k you, why would this ever happen."

A series of negotiations also went on for months even after Paul sign the dotted line. To his surprise, the fight eventually came together.

"After months and months of going back and forth figuring out three different dates and how to announce it and the strategy behind it finally came to fruition," Paul said.

For Paul, the mega event with Mayweather is the culmination of all of his hard as an entertainer knowing full well that it does not get any bigger than that.

"This event that supersedes everything I've ever done in my life finally solidified," he said. —MGP, GMA News
