Johnriel Casimero throws shade at fellow Filipino Jerwin Ancajas

Three-division champion Johnriel Casimero has turned his attention this time around to reigning International Boxing Federation (IBF) world super flyweight champion Jerwin Ancajas.

Reacting to an article that mentioned that he may face Ancajas inside the ring, Casimero blasted Top Rank head honcho Bob Arum for supposedly giving his fellow Filipino weak opposition.

“Eight defenses and he is yet to be very popular because you give him easy opponents,” Casimero wrote on social media. 

“How can he be popular so what this is what you're going to mention him with me to be popular. Bob, what are you doing?”

The 31-year-old Casimero last saw action against Duke Micah this past September where he won via third-round technical knockout.

He holds a record of 30-4 with 21 knockouts and is chasing a unification fight with WBA and IBF world bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue. —KG, GMA News
