Jeff Horn quits on his stool against Pacquiao’s sparring partner Tim Tszyu
Tim Tszyu proved too much to handle for Jeff Horn as the unbeaten prospect rained down punches at the ex-WBO world welterweight champion en route to an eight-round technical knockout on Wednesday night at Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville, Australia.
Tszyu, son of retired world light welterweight champion Kotya Tszyu, attacked Horn right from the opening bell with his body shots and non-stop pressure.
Horn, most notably known for his controversial victory over Manny Pacquiao in 2017, was never in the fight and was barely able to offer any resistance to Tszyu’s unending aggression.
Horn ended quitting on his stool before the start of round nine after much beatdown and exhaustion for eight rounds.
Tszyu, who sparred with Pacquiao for the latter’s preparation against Keith Thurman, improved his unbeaten record to 16-0 with 12 knockouts while Horn fell to 20-3-1 with 13 knockouts. – RC, GMA News
