Pinoy boxer Casimero knocks out South African foe in round 3, bags WBO title


Filipino boxer John Riel Casimero won the WBO world bantamweight title after he knocked out opponent Zolani Tete in a bout in Birminghan, England on Saturday.

Challenger Casimero, 30, finished the match in Round 3 after knocking out the South African fighter, the World Boxing Organization tweeted.

 

 

This is the 29th win in Casimero’s record.
