Pacquiao thanks fans, family for support

After defeating American challenger Adrien Broner in Las Vegas to retain his WBA welterweight title, Manny Pacquiao had a lot of people to thank on Sunday.

In a brief post on his Facebook page accompanied by a photo of him and his wife Jinkee after the match, Pacquiao gave thanks for the widespread support he received.

"Thank you Lord for the victory! Thank you to my wife Jinkee, my family, friends and fans from all over the world. Thank you to everyone who watched my fight tonight. Thank you for all your support. I wouldn’t be where I am today without all of you. May God bless you all!" he said.

Judges scored the fight 117-111, 116-112, 116-112.

Pacquiao's win had many people speculating whether a rematch with Floyd Mayweather, who defeated him in 2015, was in the cards. — BM, GMA News
