Coach Buboy: Pacquiao 100% ready for Broner fight

The coach of Manny Pacquiao believes the boxing champion is "100 percent" ready to defend his WBA welterweight title against Adrien Broner in Las Vegas on January 19 (January 20 PHL time).

According to a "24 Oras" on Saturday, coach Buboy Fernandez said Pacquiao has been whipped into excellent shape after sparring for 12 rounds with three different partners.

Pacquiao also went on a four-round punch mitts with Fernandez followed by extra rounds of exercise on the side.

"Nasa 100 percent na 'yung condition natin," Fernandez said.

"Tapos iniingatan nalang natin next week na huwag tayong masyadong gagalaw kasi mas mahirap 'yung masobrahan tayo sa training," he added.

The 40-year-old Filipino boxing icon and senator is looking to score a knockout when he gets in the ring with Broner on January 19 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. — Margaret Claire Layug/MDM, GMA News
