Pacquiao lands in Manila after Vegas victory

New World Boxing Organization welterweight champion Senator Manny Pacquiao arrived in Manila early Tuesday morning, flying in from Los Angeles.

 

 

Among those accompanying Pacquiao were Philippine National Police chief Roland dela Rosa and former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson.

 

Shortly after arriving, the boxing champion said that he was immediately going back to work at the Senate, where he would focus on the investigations on extra-judicial killings and the Yolanda-relief funds.

 

However, before he could get back to work, Pacquiao had to make his way to a popular Makati City hotel to attend an event welcoming him home.

 

Pacquiao came out of his retirement from boxing and defeated Jessie Vargas last Sunday in Las Vegas, Nevada to regain the welterweight championship belt. — DVM, GMA News
