Pacquiao's head wound requires 16 stitches after Vargas fight

Manny Pacquiao may have scored a dominating unanimous decision against Jessie Vargas in Las Vegas on Saturday (Sunday PHL time), but he hardly did it unscathed.

The Filipino ring icon suffered a cut at the top of his head near the end of the bout, which television announcers noted during the broadcast.

According to GMA News' Mav Gonzales, the cut required 16 stitches to close.

Pacquiao had to skip the post-fight press conference to get the stitches. --JST, GMA News
