LOOK: Erap, Chavit ‘unite’ behind Pacquiao

Former President Joseph Estrada and former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis "Chavit" Singson on Saturday showed a united front in supporting Filipino boxing icon and Sarangani Rep. Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao on the eve of his bout with Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Pacquiao's wife Geraldine "Jinkee" Pacquiao, vice governor of Sarangani province, posted on her Instagram account Saturday noon a photo of her with her husband, and with Estrada and Singson.

"Thank you for the Support ??????," she said.

Estrada re-posted the photo on his own Facebook account.

Estrada and Singson, who were side by side in the photo, had been friends turned bitter enemies in the early 2000s, with Singson accusing Estrada of corruption.

Singson's allegations triggered a series of protests that eventually led to Estrada's ouster in 2001. Estrada and Singson have been reconciled. — Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
