WATCH: Chavit Singson speaks at Pacquiao-Mayweather press conference

Apart from eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao, there was only one other Filipino who gave a short speech in Thursday's final press conference before Sunday's mega-fight.



Top Rank CEO Bob Arum invited former Ilocos Sur governor Chavit Singson to the podium to give a short message. The veteran promoter, who introduced key members of Team Pacquiao, called Singson a "good friend" and a "great guy."

Singson, who was sitting at the stage beside Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach, thanked the members of the media, the promoters, and the networks for making the historic fight happen. -- Marisse Panaligan/JST, GMA News
