WATCH: Pacquiao sings 'Happy Birthday' to Freddie Roach from long distance

Freddie Roach may be half a world away, but he's never far from his top pupil's mind.

 

Manny Pacquiao surprised the Hall of Fame trainer with a phone call on Wednesday (Thursday PHL time) to sing Roach "Happy Birthday."
 

 

Roach, who turned 55, is still in Macau to run the corner of Zou Shiming for a fight this weekend. He is expected to join Pacquiao in Los Angeles next week for the Filipino ring icon's buildup for the much-awaited mega-fight against Floyd Mayweather on May 2 in Las Vegas. —JST, GMA News
