Camille Clarin suffers injury in Gilas Women's loss to Australia in FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup

Camille Clarin suffered an apparent right knee injury midway through the Gilas Pilipinas Women's game against Australia on Saturday in the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup 2025 in Singapore.
Clarin sustained the injury at the 4:54 mark while going for a drive to the basket against the defense of Alex Wilson with the Philippines trailing by nine, 15-6.
The 23-year-old Clarin had to be helped out of the court and wasn’t able to return to the game since then, leaving her teammates Mikka Cacho, Jhaz Joson, and Kaye Pingol to finish the battle for the Filipinas.
Unfortunately, Gilas Women lost to the Australians, 21-8, with Wilson leading the latter with nine points. Clarin, meanwhile, finished with two points.
Despite the defeat, Gilas still advanced to the quarterfinals against Mongolia after beating Indonesia earlier in the day to finish with a 1-1 card in Pool D.
Without Clarin, Gilas Women were able to defeat Mongolia earlier today, 19-15, behind Cacho's nine-point outing together with six rebounds while Pingol and Joson both chipped in five markers.
Gilas now awaits the winner between Japan and Korea to determine its semifinals foe.
Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) has yet to release an update on Clarin's health status, but has called prayers for the former National University standout.
