Cavite's Chrisveil Sports rules NBTC South Luzon Regional Championship


Chrisveil Sports of Cavite relied on a fourth quarter rally to take down Momsie's Kitchenette of Laguna, 71-65, in the finals of the NBTC South Luzon Regional Championship on Wednesday at the PCU-Dasmariñas Gym.

The Cavite team showed poise in the endgame and made an 8-0 run to take home the crown.

Jancarl Gadlan led Chrisveil Sports with 20 points, 10 from the first quarter, along with seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals to be named as Regional Most Outstanding Player.

Raphael Artiga knocked down four triples en route to a 12-point outing, while Francis Cervantes added nine points for Cavite.

Justine Yeoj Glorioso had seven triples to build on his 23-point outing for Momsie's Kitchentte, while Mark Clarence Piaña had six points and eight assists.

Prior to the victory, Chrisveil Sports also dethroned last year's South Luzon champions Batang Tiaong in the Round of 16.

Chrisveil and Momsies Kitchenette will advance to the NBTC National Finals, along with St. Judge College of Dasmariñas Cavite and Uncle Drew Cavite.
