PBA plans to bring San Miguel-Meralco retro game at Rizal Memorial for 50th anniversary

The Philippine Basketball Association is planning to hold a San Miguel-Meralco game at the historic Rizal Memorial Coliseum for its 50th anniversary on April 9.

PBA commissioner Willie Marcial said the two teams will wear their retro jerseys for the said game.

"Maglalaro tayo sa Rizal [Coliseum]. Nasa planning stage tayo, pero ang maglalaro San Miguel at Meralco. Isusuot nila 'yung retro jersey nila. Sa ngayon 'yun ang plano ng PBA sa April 9," Marcial said on Wednesday.

The commissioner said they are also in talks with the Philippine Sports Commission on the use of the historic venue.

San Miguel, the league's only remaining pioneer team, fell to the Bolts in last year's Philippine Cup.
