Chris Koon joins Strong Group squad for Dubai tilt

Ateneo de Manila University product Chris Koon will also join the Strong Group Athletics crew which will compete in the Dubai International Basketball Championship later this month.

SGA announced the development on Thursday.

"He has good size as a wing, can shoot, can defend. I think he will be a good role player for us. And we all know he’s been well coached and comes from a great school and program, so it’s good to have him," said Strong Group head coach Charles Tiu.

In his last playing year with the Blue Eagles in Season 87, Koon posted averages of 7.58 points, 4.17 rebounds, and 1.83 assists per game. 

Koon will join fellow Blue Eagle Dave Ildefonso, alongside the likes of Mikey Williams, Rhenz Abando, Jason Brickman, Angelo Kouame, Andray Blatche, NCAA MVP Allen Liwag, Tony Ynot, and Justine Sanchez.

Malachi Richardson and Terry Larrier will also reinforce SGA, alongside DeMarcus Cousins who arrived in Manila on Wednesday.
