Strong Group adds Malachi Richardson, Terry Larrier for Dubai campaign
Strong Group Athletics bolstered its roster ahead of the 34th Dubai International Basketball Championship later this month, adding the tandem of Malachi Richardson and Terry Larrier to its already-stacked lineup.
The 6-foot-6 Richardson is a former NBA player that had previous stints with the Sacramento Kings and Toronto Raptors.
Larrier, meanwhile, has wealthy overseas experience after having suited up in various countries like Sweden, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Romania, Venezuela, South Africa, and Qatar.
"Malachi is a great shooter, a true professional, and has shown a great attitude so far. We believe he’ll be a vital part of our success in Dubai," SGA coach Charles Tiu said.
Richardson and Larrier will join the loaded roster alongside DeMarcus Cousins, Andray Blatche, and Ange Kouame as well as other locals in Rhenz Abando, Dave Ildefonso, Jason Brickman, Allen Liwag, Tony Ynot, and Justine Sanchez.
SGA, alongside another Philippine representative, the Zamboanga Valientes, is looking to reclaim the crown after falling just short of the title last year.
The Valientes will feature players such as Kyt Jimenez, Forthsky Padrigao, Mike Tolomia, and Malick Diouf.
