JD Cagulangan makes KBL debut, Kevin Quiambao arrives in Korea

JD Cagulangan made his debut in the Korean Basketball League on Saturday.

Cagulangan had seven points on top of nine assists, five steals, and four rebounds but his team Suwon KT Sonicboom fell to the Seoul Samsung Thunders, 78-63.

Meanwhile, UAAP two-time Most Valuable Player Kevin Quiambao also arrived in Korea for his upcoming stint with the Sono Skygunners.

In a reel posted by his team, Quiambao said he is excited for the newest chapter of his basketball career.

"It's a surreal feeling for me [with my] new chapter for me, first for my professional career here in Korea with the Sono Skygunners and I feel excited and I can't wait to meet the fans, players, and management," he said.

The two players and their respective collegiate teams faced off in the UAAP Season 87 men's basketball finals last December with Cagulangan and the UP Fighting Maroons taking home the crown against Quiambao and the De La Salle University Green Archers in a three-game series.
