Mapua community celebrates Cardinals' NCAA basketball title

The Mapua University community celebrated the Cardinals' championship in the NCAA Season 100 men's basketball tournament last December 19.

Head coach Randy Alcantara and Finals Most Valuable Player Clint Escamis led the symbolic bonfire ceremony as the Cardinals ended their 33-year title drought.

According to a 24 Oras report aired last December 20, the players will enjoy the championship first before preparing for their title defense bid.

Mapua took home the title after sweeping De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde in the best-of-three finals held earlier this month.
