JD Cagulangan to join KBL's Suwon KT Sonicboom
After leading University of the Philippines to the UAAP Season 87 men's basketball title, JD Cagulangan is set to bring his talents to Korea.
Korean Basketball League (KBL) team Suwon KT Sonicboom on Tuesday welcomed Cagulangan as its newest player.
Cagulangan is the latest Filipino player to join the KBL, following his UAAP finals opponent and league MVP Kevin Quiambao, who will join the Goyang Sono Skygunners.
In the recently-concluded UAAP season, Cagulangan was named as the Finals MVP and was part of the Mythical Team as he posted averages of 11.75 points, 4.42 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 1.75 steals at the end of the elimination round.
Also playing in Korea now are the likes of SJ Belangel, Migs Oczon, Ethan Alvano, Justin Gutang, and former UP players Carl Tamayo and Juan Gomez de Liaño. Dave Ildefonso also previously played with Suwon.
