Top pick Justine Baltazar set for PBA debut, signs with Converge
Justine Baltazar is finally primed for his much-awaited PBA debut as the 6-foot-9 inked a deal that would allow him to join Converge amid the ongoing PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup.
Baltazar joined the club just days after he steered the Pampanga Giant Lanterns to their second straight title in MPBL where the bruiser also captured his second straight MVP plum.
The FiberXers announced Baltazar's signing on Wednesday ahead of their 5 p.m. clash with the unbeaten NorthPort on Thursday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
The former De La Salle University star is set to form a one-two punch with Justin Arana as well as the core led by Alec Stockton, Alex Cabagnot, Jordan Heading, Deschon Winston, and import Cheick Diallo.
The FiberXers are also out to improve their current 2-1 standing which came after they mounted a huge 93-91 comeback win against Magnolia behind Stockton and Arana.
