Uratex Dream 3x3 finishes second in Red Bull Half Court World Final
Uratex Dream 3x3 capped its dream run in the Red Bull Half Court World Final as it finished second in the championship stage after falling to Tokyo Verdy of Japan, 11-8, on early Monday (Philippine time) at Brooklyn Bridge Park in New York.
The Philippine-based team finished second in the pool stage with a 3-1, overcame Prykarpattya squad of Ukraine, 9-7, in the quarterfinals, and eked out a 6-5 victory over Belgium's On Fire to advance to the finals.
Kaye Pingol, Afril Bernardino, Sam Harada, and Eunique Chan comprise the Philippine squad.

“Super proud ako sa pinakita nila. The only thing that matters is seeing my teammates’ effort and sacrifice their bodies in the game, that’s already a win for me,” said Bernardino.
“We’re very happy with this achievement. It’s a testament to the success of the partnership between our program and the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP),” said team owner Peachy Medina.
Meanwhile, the Half Court Group composed of Matt Salem, Chester Saldua, Gryann Mendoza, and Jordan Bartlett, missed the playoffs of the men’s division.
