Rain or Shine survives TNT to avoid 0-3 hole in PBA semis

Rain or Shine survived a late rally from TNT, 110-109, on Sunday in Game 3 of the PBA Governors' Cup semifinals at the City of Dasmariñas Arena in Cavite.

With the win, the Elasto Painters notched their first win in the best-of-seven affair, while TNT still leads, 2-1.

TNT was leading 107-105 with around two minutes left before Aaron Fuller saved the day for the Elasto Painters.

Fuller scored a basket to tie the game with 1:37 left. Nambatac reclaimed the lead for TNT as Rondae Hollis-Jefferson missed his shot at the 0:11 mark. The Rain or Shine import then completed a three-point play to seal the victory as RHJ missed his final attempt.

"To us, every game is just a learning process, learning experience for us. Mabuti nailusot namin kasi ayaw ulit namin na ma-sweep kami kamukha nung nangyari sa last semis namin with San Miguel. At least we can say na whatever happens, this is going to be a better conference," Rain or Shine head coach Yeng Guiao said.

Fuller had 26 points, 16 rebounds, and two assists, while Santi Santillan and Jhonard Clarito had 20 and 15 points, respectively.

Poy Erram's 27-point output for TNT went to naught, while RHJ and RR Pogoy had 23 and 22 points, respectively.

Game 4 of the series will be held on Wednesday.
