PBA: Paul Lee takes over as Magnolia drags Rain or Shine to do-or-die Game 5

PBA: Paul Lee of Magnolia Hotshots

Paul Lee displayed his vintage form, starring in another Magnolia blowout win against Rain or Shine in Game 4, 129-100, as they leveled the best-of-five series in the PBA Season 49 Governors' Cup on Tuesday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Lee dropped a 25-point outing alongside six assists as the Hotshots dragged the Elasto Painters to a winner-take-all Game 5 set this Saturday at the Ynares Center Antipolo.

The latest win was similar to how Magnolia demolished Rain or Shine in Game 2, where the wards of head coach Chito Victolero cruised to a convincing 121-69 triumph last Friday.

"[I'm] thankful to the players because of the mindset, because of the focus, and nando'n sa board ko eh sa start ng game, it's all about believing," Magnolia head coach Chito Victolero said.

"And I think the players were so focused and they want to have another chance on Saturday."

[Thankful to the players because of the mindset, because of the focus, and this was on my board before the start of the game — it's all about believing... And I think the players were so focused and they want to have another chance on Saturday.]

Jabari Bird was also big for Magnolia as the import erupted for 30 points together with four rebounds, two assists, and two steals while Jerrick Ahanmisi chipped in 14 markers,

The loss spoiled a double-double showing from Aaron Fuller, who poured in 22 points and 10 rebounds laced with one assist and one steal while Jhonard Clarito chimed in with 15 markers and five boards.

The two teams go at it one last time this season on Saturday with the winner getting the right to face either TNT or NLEX in the semifinals.
