FEU escapes Ateneo in OT for first win; La Salle downs UST

Far Eastern University notched its first win at the expense of Ateneo de Manila University in overtime, 66-65, on Sunday in UAAP Season 87 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Jorick Bautista had 18 points, five rebounds, an assist, and a steal, while Royce Alforque had 12 points, five rebounds, two steals, and an assist. Mohamed Konateh had 18 rebounds and 10 points, alongside an assist and a block as the Tamaraws barged into the win column after five losses.

Chris Koon had 12 points, while Jared Bahay and Kristian Porter chipped in 11 points apiece as the Blue Eagles moved down to 1-4.

Earlier, De La Salle University got its second straight win as it took down University of Santo Tomas, 88-67.

Mike Philips had 18 rebounds and 12 points, while Vhoris Marasigan had 11 points. Kevin Quiambao, Raven Gonzales, and Jcee Macalalag chipped in 10 points apiece as the Green Archers improved to 5-1.

Nic Cabañero had 16 points, while Forthsky Padrigao had 15 points as UST moved to 3-2.
