Kevin Quiambao has added motivation as he becomes a dad

De La Salle University's Kevin Quiambao is now more motivated as he enters a new chapter of his life.

The reigning UAAP Most Valuable Player recently welcomed his newborn son and Quiambao said he is just proud to be at this point in his life. 

"It's a blessing. Sobrang blessed ko lang sa puntong 'to na nakakapaglaro ako sa highest level and then ito yung tatahakin ko. Focused ako this season then focused ako sa pag-aalaga," Quiambao said on Wednesday.

While he admitted that it will be hard to juggle his time being a player, for La Salle and even for the national team, and being a dad, he is thankful to have his coaches who support him in his journey on and off the court.

"Mahirap na i-balance yung oras pero I will try my best na makapaag-focus sa basketball aspect and life aspect. Nandyan ang coaches na binibigyan ako ng freedom sa gusto gawin," he said.

"I think ano lang naman 'to eh, parang added motivation para sa akin. Ayun nga, ang pinaka-inspiration naman eh si God. 'Yung baby, sobrang saya ko. Dadalhin ko lang 'yung motivation na 'yun [kung] paano ako makakatulong sa upcoming games.

La Salle, which is currently at 4-1, will go against the University of Santo Tomas on Sunday.
