Ateneo downs Adamson for first win; UST escapes NU

Ateneo de Manila University notched its first win in UAAP Season 87 after defeating Adamson University, 60-51, on Saturday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Kristian Porter almost had a double-double as he had 10 rebounds and eight points, alongside one assist, one steal, and one block for the Blue Eagles, while Shawn Tuano had 11 points, four rebounds, and an assist.

Chris Koon also made his return after missing two games and had eight points, four boards, an assist, and a steal as the Katipunan-based squad improved to 1-3.

Cedrick Manzanao had 14 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and a block as the Soaring Falcons slipped to 2-2.

Earlier, University of Santo Tomas made a 14-4 run late in the game to defeat National University, 67-64.

Mo Tounkara had 15 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, and a block while Christian Manaytay had 14 points, five rebounds, three assists, and a steal as the Growling Tigers improved to 3-1.

Steve Nash Enriquez and Jake Figueroa had 17 and 11 points, respectively, as the Bulldogs moved down to 1-3.
