UP dominates NU for third straight win

The University of the Philippines dominated National University, 89-62, on Wednesday in UAAP Season 87 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Fighting Maroons relied on a strong start as it had the lead 53-26 at the end of the first half, before cruising to its third straight victory.

Mark Belmonte led the Diliman-based squad with 23 points, three rebounds, two assists, a steal, and a block, while JD Cagulangan had 13 points, four assists and two rebounds.

Jake Figueroa was the only double-digit scorer for the Bulldogs with 11 points, while Ian Manansala had 10 boards and nine points as NU slipped to 1-2.
