San Miguel routs Barangay Ginebra for fourth straight win

The San Miguel Beermen took down Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, 131-82, for their fourth straight win in the PBA Governors' Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

San Miguel relied on a strong 37-13 start in the first quarter in a historic night for Marcio Lassiter as he became the league's new 3-pt king.

Lassiter connected six out of eight attempts from first arc to become the 3-pt leader and tallied 18 points.

June Mar Fajardo produced monster numbers of 24 points, 17 rebounds, one assist, one steal. CJ Perez chipped in 22 points as SMB improved to 6-2 in Group B.

RJ Abarrientos top-scored Barangay Ginebra with 19 points, while Justin Brownlee posted 16 points and 11 boards, alongside six assists, two steals, and two blocks in the Ginebra loss. San Miguel snapped Ginebra's four straight wins as the latter slipped to 5-3.

This is San Miguel's biggest win margin in history and Ginebra's biggest losing margin as well.

Earlier, Phoenix won its first game in the conference against Blackwater, 119-114.
