PBA: King rules as Blackwater downs NLEX for third straight win


George King led Blackwater to its third straight win after taking down NLEX, 110-99, on Friday in the PBA Governors' Cup at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.

King registered 39 points as he drilled three four-pointers in the explosive outing, and grabbed 15 rebounds on top of five assists.

NLEX was trailing 100-92 with four minutes left in the fourth quarter before King connected from beyond the arcs and extended the Bossing's lead. Justin Chua's layup further widened the gap, 108-95, before an RK Ilagan jumper late in the game sealed the victory for Blackwater.

Troy Rosario led the locals with his own double-double of 15 points and 14 rebounds, on top of two assists and a block, while Sedrick Barefield had 14 points as Blackwater improved to 3-3 in Group B.

Myke Henry, meanwhile, had 26 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, and three steals, while Robert Bolick had 21 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists as the Road Warriors slipped to 3-3.

In their first meetup in the conference, NLEX defeated Blackwater, 104-87.
